Amy presented to the group on a project that she is working on in collaboration with Community Connections. We will be having a Family Leadership Conference on September 26, 2008 for participants of the Live, Laugh, Love series. The goal of the conference is to develop leaders in the community and to help us plan for next year’s family literacy program and CPPC activates. Matt Castle will be doing the training on leadership from the LeadershipPlenty curriculum. We will have a keynote speaker talking about the 40 developmental assets, and breakout sessions on neighborhood networking and family literacy planning. Allamakee New Beginnings is sponsoring this project.
